"Three young women from YWCA West Kent Young Women's Centre have been royally treated in preparation for attending the Queen's Garden Party on Tuesday 20th July 2010. They were nominated to represent YWCA in recognition of their achievements. At the centre. They all attended ESF (European Social Fund) funded programmes.
Katie Adams said "I was looking forward to the Garden Party but was thrilled when I found out that ESF had arranged Nicole form "Working Wardrobe" to take us shopping.
Cheryl Large was delighted when Nicole from Working Wardrobe took them to Hoopers in Tunbridge Wells, to select their outfits for when they meet the Queen. Hoopers also offered a makeover and hairstyling to complete the experience. "It was so nice to be pampered and the discount offered by Hoopers meant we all have amazing outfits. I never did my maths and English at school so achieving my exams on the ESF programme has given me so much confidence.
Sam Shilling said "the whole experience has been brilliant - I feel proud to represent YWCA". The young women are thoroughly enjoying the experience and can't wait to meet the Queen herself at Buckingham Palace!"
